Asafoetida Ground ( Hing ) 44gr

Asafoetida, also known as hing or asafetida, is incredibly pungent with a likeness to garlic and onion. Native to Central Asia, Asafoetida derives from the resin of the Ferula.

The tart spice is traditionally used within Indian cooking and primarily fried in a little oil to mellow the flavour. Furthermore, according to Norwegian folk law, asafoetida helps to fend off colds and the flu!

Try using small amounts to enhance the flavour of vegetable curries, pulse-based dishes and fish masalas.
